Classical concerts in Berlin for beginners

Are you interested in attending a classical concert, but have had little exposure to classical music and are concerned that you may be bored or overwhelmed—or both?

You are in good company. Classical music can be incredibly fascinating—and we would like to convince you of that!

Our concert recommendations for beginners in Berlin

What you need are classical music pieces that blow you away because they are not only accessible but also simply brilliant. And fortunately, there are plenty of them!

Classical hits such as Dvořák's Symphony “From the New World,” Mozart's Jupiter Symphony, Beethoven's 9th Symphony, Mahler's First Symphony, and Strauss's “Thus Spoke Zarathustra” have become crowd-pullers for good reason.

They are both magnificent masterpieces of classical music and so accessible that they also appeal to people who have not previously had any access to classical music.

That's why there are concert introductions and formats such as the DSO's Casual Concert, the RSB's moderated rehearsals, and the RIAS Chamber Choir's open dress rehearsals.
