Vivi Vassileva is a veritable magician on percussion. She will demonstrate this with John Corigliano's Concerto for Percussion and Orchestra, performing the work jointly with the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin!

Together with the Rundfunkchor Berlin, the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin will dedicate itself to Verdi's Messa da Requiem, which elicited the outcry "immaturity, tastelessness, and ugliness" from an indignant Hans von Bülow. Wrongly so, as the work's reception history shows. They will then perform Anna Thorvaldsdottir's "Heyr þú oss himnum á", which also has religious roots.

The Seven Last Words of Christ

Haydn's "The Seven Last Words of Our Savior on the Cross" will be performed punctually on Good Friday by the RIAS Chamber Choir together with the Konzerthaus Orchestra Berlin. In between the movements, Navid Kermani will read from his book "Ungläubiges Staunen".
