Yamada & Cho
Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin
Beethoven’s First Piano Concerto still bears the influence of his mentor Haydn, yet is already unmistakably Beethoven. Seong-Jin Cho brings the elegance, daring and vitality of this work to life, together with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin and its new principal conductor, Kazuki Yamada. The programme concludes with Schumann’s ‘Spring Symphony’ – a soundscape brimming with a sense of new beginnings and romantic warmth.
