Vladimir Jurowski, together with violinist Julia Fischer and the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin, presents a program of music from the twilight years at the Konzerthaus Berlin. Tchaikovsky died just a few days after the premiere of his "Pathétique." This is reflected in the work – in its bitterness, but also in its consolation – and links it to Sibelius's Violin Concerto.
