Vladimir Jurowski conducts Zimmermann und Bruckner

Bruckner was unable to complete his Ninth Symphony, while Zimmermann finished “Stille und Umkehr” shortly before taking his own life. Whereas Zimmermann listens inwardly in an unemphatic and almost sparse manner, Bruckner offers a glimpse of eternity in his Adagio, which lasts nearly half an hour.
