Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8 is one of his most beloved orchestral works – and Sibelius’s “En saga” is among his most important symphonic poems. Between the two, Kaija Saariaho’s “Notes on Light” takes its place in this program, a work that has significantly shaped orchestral music of the 21st century.
