Honeck & Hadelich

Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin

The violin concerto by Sibelius that you will hear this evening is the only one he ever composed. It impresses with its crystalline clarity and passionate virtuosity – on the violin: Augustin Hadelich. In addition, the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, conducted by Manfred Honeck, will perform Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony, whose drama is of a quite different nature – but no less compelling.
