Dalia Stasevska
Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin
The melancholic sounds of Jóhannsson’s "They Being Dead yet Speaketh," imbued with the radiance of great nobility, open this concert. This is followed by Bruckner’s Seventh Symphony, which he dedicated to King Ludwig II of Bavaria and, indirectly, to his admired musical role model, Wagner. Conducting is Dalia Stasevska, Principal Guest Conductor of the BBC Symphony Orchestra and one of the most exciting conductors of the younger generation.
