»We’re Not Going Anywhere – Queer Resilience«
"We're Not Going Anywhere" is the winning concept from the ideas competition marking the 100th anniversary of the Rundfunkchor Berlin – an evening that makes queer life visible and audible. The program features exclusively music by queer composers, including Jake Heggie’s chamber opera "For a Look or a Touch": the story of a Jewish couple separated by the Nazis. Alfonso Pantisano, Berlin’s first Queer Affairs Officer, will give a speech – and the performance will take place at the choir’s home venue, the Haus des Rundfunks: a deliberate statement calling for more queer music in traditional venues.
