Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin
Star pianist Fazıl Say will perform his own Piano Concerto No. 3, "Silence of Anatolia," with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin at the Philharmonie. And as if that weren’t enough, the program will also feature Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 8 – a work for which the composer, otherwise reluctantly loyal to the regime, was at times even banned from performing. "The Ring of Fire and Love," a work by Finnish composer Outi Tarkiainen, opens the concert in a manner described as "shocking, creative, catastrophic."
