Vladimir Jurowski
Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin
The concert in the Konzerthaus, led by chief conductor Vladimir Jurowski, gets a sinful touch on this evening: first, Stravinsky's "Jeu de Cartes" indulges the passion for games. Then, Kurt Weill shines with contrasts: A heated dialogue between violin and wind orchestra - and not least "The Seven Deadly Sins", in which heroine Anna is confronted with her bigoted relatives. And with Friedrich Goldmann, the impressionistic freedom of the 70s is also added.
