Musikfest Berlin
RIAS Kammerchor
Freiburger Barockorchester
On this evening, the RIAS Kammerchor Berlin will perform works by the two Haydn brothers – besides the well-known Joseph, whose "Mass in Time of War" was premiered when Napoleon Bonaparte was threatening Vienna, there is also his brother Johann Michael. In his day, he was almost as famous as Joseph – on grounds that his Missa Hispanica, which will be played at this concert in Berlin's Philharmonic Hall, clearly illustrates.
