Geniale Geschwister – Fanny & Felix

RIAS Kammerchor Kammerakademie Potsdam

Jointly with the Kammerakademie Potsdam, the RIAS Kammerchor Berlin will dedicate an evening to the siblings Fanny Hensel and Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy. Fanny's "Hiob" was meant for her husband; its instrumental line-up suggests, however, that a performance in the public arena was planned. Such a performance actually happened, however, only in 1990—an indication of marginalisation. Before that, you can hear two psalms by her brother Felix from "Da Israel aus Ägypten zog".
