Festival ›Music and Healing‹ IV
Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin
In this fourth concert of the "Music and Healing" festival, the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin contrasts the experience of human suffering with a spiritual calm intended to bring about healing. Jonathan Harvey's "...towards a Pure Land" is, according to the composer, a world of fleeting ideas, of endless flow. In contrast, the unhealing wound of Wagner's Tristan stands out, finding in suffering a deep romantic experience.
