FANTASIE UND FAREWELL

RIAS Kammerchor Berlin Ensemble Resonanz

This concert ranges from the fantasy of a world premiere – Joanna Marsh’s "Threadlands", which centres on birth, hope and new beginnings – to the farewell work that Hubert Parry composed for his fallen pupils in the midst of the First World War. The programme is framed by Vaughan Williams’ "Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis", one of the most haunting string pieces in the orchestral repertoire.
