Wagner rarely composed anything other than operas. His "Songs on Poems by Mathilde Wesendonck" are therefore a true rarity, performed here by members of the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin. Alongside them, Brahms' lyrical and warmhearted String Sextet will also be heard.
